Tiled Roof Conservatories

We defy the myth that tiled roof conservatories offer limited natural lighting – our lightweight tiled roof will have the sun bursting through.

Tiled roof conservatories that don’t look out of place...

Accessibility to the latest solid tile roof system helps us to develop tiled roof conservatories that are reliably weatherproofed and are fit for the purpose for not just a year or two, but the next and the next.

All round, a tiled roof from Yorkshire Window exudes class and one feature of particular note is the pristinely plastered vaulted ceiling. An internal pelmet around the ceiling perimeter is where spotlights and speakers can sit.

Up and operational in no time

After assessment of your conservatory and speaking to you, we will be in a position to pre-manufacture the tiled roof conservatory, which shaves off how much time we need to spend at your home installing the product.

Modern aluminium ridges and hip capping come as standard in our tiled roof system, and we offer an upgrade of traditional tile roof capping.

Tiled Roof Insulation

Crafting the warm roof saw us harness a rigid insulation board and insulated plywood, merging the two to fashion a solution that’s thermally efficient and geared to restrict heat loss so that extension usage isn’t stalled.

Tiled Roof Tiles

There is a distinct likeness between the tiles employed in the lightweight roof covering and traditional tiles, as we were conscious of the need for them to match up to homes and their roofs.

Tiled Roof Glass

Various styles of roof glazing have been forged to ensure that you have plenty of options. You can dictate where the glass panels or Velux windows are housed in the roof – we’ll follow your direction.

Pelmet

An insulated internal pelmet is a convenient place to have downlighters or speakers inserted, allowing nighttime conservatory living to proceed and music to be beamed in.

Explore our conservatory roof tiles

Mindful of the importance of tiled roof conservatories having relevant finishing touches, Yorkshire Windows put focus on cultivating lashings of colours and rugged tiles. The roof tiles we include in the manufacturing of our roofs are tougher and more robust than you can imagine.

Make a decision between traditional slates or modern tiles...

A key thing when extending a house is ensuring that the new space is very much in harmony with it. Acknowledging this, we have produced a range of modern slate textured and shingle tiles in a host of elegant finishes, so it’s impossible to make any design faux pas.

The lightweight tiles are exactly that, considerably lighter than traditional tiles, and so are the lightweight slates, a good match for low-pitched roofs.

You guys did such an amazing job with my conservatory – I couldn’t have wished for more! Please pass on my regards to your project manager, who expertly coordinated things and kept us in the loop at all times. I’ve been raving about what you’ve done to all my friends and neighbours

Door options for tiled roof conservatories

How you intend to use the tiled roof conservatory will hold the key to what kind of feature door to include. French doors have boundless elegance, as continental homeowners can attest, patio door sliders are amazingly sleek and bi-folding doors, well, what theatre they bring to a conservatory design.

Conservatory Bi-Fold Doors

Within the last decade or so, bi-folding doors have surged to the top of the wish lists of home improvement enthusiasts and renovators. No other door operates quite like a bi-fold and allows the full removal of a wall area.

We’re talking only a matter of seconds to carry out the opening of a bi-folding door and once you do, it puts the garden in the easiest possible reach. Bi-folds are held in such high esteem and live up to modern standards of security and weatherproofing.

Conservatory French Doors

If you’re the type of person who in summer likes to make a dash for the garden, a French door will facilitate the home-garden transition quite beautifully. Sold as a pair of matching doors, you can open one panel to desert the indoor life for an outdoor ambience and utilise the full double opening for letting in maximum ventilation – it’s your call.

French doors don’t have to be employed as a garden opening, being suitable also for dividing a conservatory from a neighbouring room.

Conservatory Patio Doors

As keen as you are to have a feature door in your conservatory, a cause for concern might be that it will obstruct some of its spaciousness. Not the case with a patio door as it slides across from one side to the other, rather than opening in or out.

On operation of the product, the patio slider glides so gracefully along the stainless-steel runners. Each panel houses a vast glass expanse, and a richness of glazing means optimum light gain.

Anthracite Grey Patio Doors

Conservatory Single Doors

Make your way to and from the conservatory in effortless fashion via a single door opening, such as an impressively glazed UPVC or composite door.

Stable doors are not to be discounted, especially if you are an admirer of the formation of their design with the separate top and bottom sections. A capacity to open the top half and keep the bottom part closed will see that young children can’t get out when you want them kept safe inside.

Conservatory Door Hardware

When discussing any kind of finishing touch, hardware needs to be part of the conversation as it will be a visual instrument of the tiled roof conservatory and contribute to security.

The seriousness with which we take security is evidenced in the robust, high-security door hardware. An advisor will outline the hardware to you when you arrive at door selection.

Window frames for tiled roof conservatories

Now that you’ve chosen a door for the conservatory, let’s move on to the window frames, which carry such importance. We offer UPVC and aluminium frames and they both have individual attributes – UPVC is amazingly robust and energy efficient, whilst aluminium is renowned for its sleek look and hard-wearing surface.

Insulating, noise-reducing, and tough to break...

UPVC frames are filled with strength and have the ingredients to resist things like fading, rotting, warping etc. Next to no cleaning is involved in maintaining their inner or outer frame, which means little of your time needs to be spent on window upkeep.

Temperature regulation will never waver with UPVC, and any heat lost will be extremely slight. Noise won’t be the same hindrance that it was either and the UPVC colour palette is wide.

Tiled Roof Conservatory

The broadest colour spectrum...

When you think of classic colours, white is one that immediately springs to mind and a safe choice of shade for any tiled roof conservatory. However, white is just one of 20 colours at Yorkshire Windows.

It would be remiss not to have a glance of our Anthracite Grey, plain Grey, Black and warm Oak finishes before any final decision is made. That’s not all – Chartwell Green and Whitegrain also have a place in our palette.

Aluminium windows are so polished...

Distinguishing aluminium frames from UPVC frames isn’t hard to do – aluminium window profiles have a slim arrangement and a big, glazed area. Aluminium may be one of earth’s toughest materials, but it’s malleable and this is how such neatly sculptured frames are achievable, offering incredible sightlines.

If you’re after something modern, aluminium will conform to your urge for a contemporary design. Aluminium’s long lifecycle is a product of sustainability and will show off your commitment to green thinking.

Don’t be fearful of a bold finish...

Stretch out of your comfort zone and elect for one of our more daring finishes if you want the tiled roof conservatory to be the centre of attention at home or stay on safe ground and find a muted hue amongst our 150 aluminium RAL colours. Our aluminium finishes really are attention-stealing and gain a lot of respect.

Application of the aluminium finishes is an 11-stage powder-coating process, apart from if you wish to have a woodgrain, formulated using a technique called sublimation – our three woodgrains are Oak, Rosewood and Walnut.

Leave everything in our capable hands

We’re a rare thing in the industry – one company that does the lot! From the designing and planning of the tiled roof conservatory to the surveying and installation.

Lines of communication will be open at all phases of the project so that you know where things stand and when we’ll be done and dusted.

Want to explore our Glass Roof Conservatories?

We wouldn’t label something a “classic” unless we felt that it was wholly justified, and our classic glass roof conservatories fit the bill. There is a series of conservatory styles within our classic range, including Edwardian, Victorian, Gable and Lean-To conservatories, and they generally encompass a dwarf wall.
